about us

who we are

Gordon Construction, proudly Native American-owned, has been delivering exceptional construction services since 1983. Located on the White Earth Reservation in Northern Minnesota, we specialize in commercial and residential construction, site and road development, and pipeline projects.

The company was founded by Harold “Butch” Gordon, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers veteran with decades of construction experience, and his wife, Gladys. While Butch managed operations and built the company, Gladys played a vital role behind the scenes as secretary/treasurer after a successful nursing career. Her dedication and leadership were instrumental to the company’s success. Though Gladys passed away in 2020, her legacy lives on through the experienced team she helped nurture.

Now under the leadership of their son, Matthew Gordon, the company continues to grow with a commitment to professional, ethical, and community-focused values inspired by Native Elders. Gordon Construction remains devoted to honoring its heritage while making a positive impact in its community.
